The DeFi cross-chain protocol Sienna Network has enabled the () and (XMR) trading pairs on its decentralized exchange, giving users the ability to conduct private transactions in two of the world’s most popular cryptocurrencies.
From now on, users of the privacy-focused DEX, SiennaSwap, will be able to trade BTC and XMR against the native token Sienna, head of evangelization Monty Munford confirmed to Cointelegraph. The decision to incorporate Bitcoin and Monero transactions is due to a “large number of requests for additional performance options” from both communities, he said.
Sienna’s infrastructure is based on the Secret Network, a custom blockchain that allows private transactions, but perhaps does not support anonymity-based trading techniques. Regulators have cast a dark shadow over cryptocurrencies that provide greater anonymity, with several exchanges delisting privacy-focused cryptocurrencies XMR, Zcash, and earlier this year.
