Sacyr, among the 10 best companies in the sector in terms of sustainability

The S&P rating agency has placed Sacyr among the 10 best international infrastructure companies in terms of sustainability. The company improves significantly in the S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) and rises from the 28 points it obtained in the 2020 edition to the 66 in 2021.

The S&P CSA has been analyzing the impact of sustainability on the long-term value creation of companies for 20 years. With a universe of more than 8,000 companies, it has become one of the most highly valued ESG (Environment, Social and Corporate Governance) scoring methodologies in the world.

The S&P report adds to the recent evaluation carried out by Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating, which last July placed Sacyr as the best company in its sector in Spain.

Sacyr launched its new Strategic Plan 2021-2025, that promotes a sustainable and innovative value proposition. Over the last year, the company has strengthened its corporate governance bodies in matters of sustainability and has launched the Sustainable Sacyr Action Plan 2021-2025.

During this five-year period, the company is committed to fighting climate change, with a goal of being carbon neutral by 2050. In addition, Sacyr will increase investment in environmental protection by 50% until 2025.
