The sixth wave continues its upward curve. In a single weekend, the incidence of Covid has increased by almost one hundred points, reaching 609 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants. The most affected communities continue to be Navarra and the Basque Country with 1,393 and 1,123 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively. They are closely followed by La Rioja (959) and Aragón (938).

Last Friday, the rrisk of transmission of coronavirus in Spain went from entering “high” risk to reaching “very high” risk, that is, the highest possible level that contemplates the scale of Health. The positivity of the Covid tests already reaches 13.89%, which represents a “high” risk of transmission, and is close to the threshold of 15% that sets the beginning of the “very high” risk at this point.

Despite the increase in transmission, the indicators on care services are kept at lower levels thanks to the impact of vaccination. Thus, the occupancy of hospital beds stands at 6.03%, levels that frame it at medium risk saturation, while the occupancy of ICU beds is at 15.49%, at the high risk level.
