The Ibex 35 leads progress in Europe and stands above 8,500 points

The IBEX 35 ended the session this Thursday with a rise of 1.24% to 8,563.70 points ahead of the EURO STOXX 50 which has registered a rise of 1.16%, the German Dax 1.04% , the French CAC 40 0.77%, the FTSE Mib 0.70% and the London FTSE 100 0.43%.

The Spanish selective has achieved a level that it had not reached since December 7, thus chaining four positive sessions. In this way, the Madrid selective recovers part of the ground lost after the first news of the omicron variant at the end of last month, although it still remains far from the 9,000 integers that it registered in mid-November.

The values ​​that have risen the most this Thursday in the Ibex 35 have been Naturgy with an increase of 3.23%, Banco Santander 3.05%, Caixabank 2.61%, IAG 2.53% and Bankinter 2.46%.

For their part, the shares that fell the most were ArcelorMittal, which fell 2.12%, Indra 1.59%, PharmaMar 1.36%, Almirall 0.90% and Grifols 0, 58%.

Investors learned this Thursday that the Spanish economy grew 2.6% in the third quarter of the year, 1.4 points above the updated rate for the second quarter (1.2%), according to National Accounts data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

The deficit of the public administrations as a whole, excluding financial aid, stood at 47,536 million euros until October, which means subtracting 33,620 million from the figure registered a year earlier, 41.4% less, so it drops to 3.93% of GDP, according to data released this Thursday by the Ministry of Finance.
