More than 3.6 million to improve sports courts in IES and schools




The provincial delegate for Education, Culture and Sports, José Gutiérrez, has advanced that The Government of Castilla-La Mancha will invest more than 3.6 million euros in 18 sports facilities during 2022 of educational centers of the province.

, in which, together with the delegate of the Board in Toledo, Javier Úbeda, and the mayor, Jesús Pérez, he has gone through the different works that have been undertaken and are being carried out at the CEIP ‘San José de Calasanz’ and at the IES ‘Guadalerzas’.

Most of the improvement works in sports facilities will consist of covering and improving sports courts in 18 educational centers.

In 11 of them the positive staking of the same has already been carried out and they are in a different phase of execution since the foundation is being coordinated as far as possible with the arrival of the steel trusses to make the structures, he explained Jose Gutierrez.

The actions will be the following: CEIP ‘Tirso de Molina de Argés; IES ‘Julio Verne’ from Bargas; CEIP ‘Our Lady of the Rosary’ of Camarenilla; CEIP ‘Immaculate Conception’ of Escalona; IES ‘Aldebarán’ of Fuensalida; CEIP ‘Gregorio Marañón’ from Huecas; CEIP ‘Santísimo Cristo de la Salud’ by Noez; CEIP ‘Álvaro de Luna’ from Maqueda; CEIP ‘Fernando Martín’ de Mora; IES ‘Infante don Fadrique’ from Quintanar de la Orden; CEIP ‘Antonio Machado’ from Talavera de la Reina´ the CEIPs ‘Santa Teresa’, ‘Ciudad de Aquisgrán’ and ‘Juan de Padilla’ and the IES ‘El Greco’ in Toledo; the CEIP ‘Santa Bárbara’ of Villacañas; and the CEIP ‘San José de Calasanz’ of Los Yébenes.

And Gutiérrez recalled that the Board will make a bypass of three million euros to educational centers throughout this month of December to update their sports equipment.

The regional executive, chaired by Emiliano García-Page, has allocated about 433,000 euros for different improvement works and new construction at the school and at the Los Yébenes institute. Of these 433,000 euros, more than 57,000 euros have been for the execution of RAM works (reform, expansion and improvement) in both educational centers.

Performances in Los Yébenes

Actions have been carried out to repair and consolidate a crack and works in the toilets to comply with the covid hygienic measures in the CEIP ‘San José de Calasanz’ and mobile partitions have been installed to also comply with the covid protocols in the IES ‘Guadalerzas ‘.

The rest of the budget, about 385,000 euros, has been allocated to the adaptation of the exterior spaces of the IES, as well as for the adaptation of exterior spaces, the coverage and improvement of the sports court, both in execution, and the repair of the roof from the dining room at school. They are works financed by the Feder Operational Program through React Additional Funds.
