The Board of Directors of Fluidra, a world leader in swimming pool and wellness equipment and connected solutions, has appointed Barbara Borra as the new independent director, replacing Martín Ariel Atlas. The aforementioned appointment will be submitted for ratification at the next General Shareholders’ Meeting of the Company that is held.
This change in the Council comes aftere Rhône Capital’s stake drops from 15% in September of this year, standing at 11.5%. This decrease in participation below 15% implies going from having 4 to 3 proprietary directors of Rhône Capital on the Board, in accordance with the provisions of the Shareholders Agreement.
Since January 2019, Barbara Borra has been the President and CEO of the Franke Group Home Solutions division. Barbara joins the Board of Directors of Fluidra after 35 years of international experience, including senior management positions at Whirlpool, where she worked for 10 years in various senior management positions, most recently as Vice President of China Operations. Previously, he held other international positions in different countries during his time at Rhodia and General Electric. Barbara Borra has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin and a Master in Business Administration and Management from INSEAD.
Barbara Borra is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Randstad, a leading Dutch listed company in HR services.
