Pablo Casado, positive for Covid after being with direct contact infected

Pablo Casado reported late this afternoon that he had given positive in a test of antigens. The president of the PP has indicated, through his Twitter account, that he has no symptoms associated with Covid-19 and will remain isolated for the entire week.

“I have tested positive for antigens after being in direct contact with the infected. I have no symptoms and will follow the established procedure working in isolation this week. Take care of yourselves, “he says in his message on social networks.

In the last two weeks, two other members of the PP Steering Committee had tested positive for coronavirus. Both the general secretary of the PP, Teodoro García Egea, as well as the mayor of Madrid and national spokesman for the party, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, were forced to quarantine after testing positive.

The rest of the members of the Steering Committee took the corresponding test, but all obtained negative results.

At the end of this next week, Casado had planned to participate in the first great pre-campaign act of the PP before the elections in Castilla y León. It was going to be in an act with mayors in Salamanca, together with the PP candidate, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco. The intermunicipal was going to be blended on Saturday, and now it remains to be confirmed whether Casado will connect electronically.
