Alicante opens the Plaza América Senior Center with special air conditioning against the coronavirus




The mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala, has attended this Monday together with the Councilor for Social Action, Julia Llopis, to the launch of the new Center for the Elderly in Plaza América. The premises of more than 300 square meters and with capacity for 200 people, has started its activity once the renovation of the premises and all its equipment have been completed to give attention to the residents of the neighborhood of Campoamor-Plaza America.

The mayor, Luis Barcala, explained that “it is put into operation with all the equipment and with the installation of the air conditioning completed so that users can enjoy it in the best conditions and, always complying with the sanitary restrictions imposed by the evolution of the pandemic

of coronavirus ».

The new center for the elderly in Plaza América occupies some old commercial ground floor with a space of 318 square meters and an estimated capacity for 200 people. It is the 19th center of the network of spaces dedicated by the City Council to the elderly in the different neighborhoods of the city of Alicante and has special prevention measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
